Ghosts in Irithyll

This posts offers who the the incorporeal spirits that wander Irithyll might be.

Not sure if this is common knowledge or something I just noticed, but:

As we head up the path towards Pontiff from the second bonfire, you may have noticed some large spooky figures walking towards you, as if leaving the city. They are all decked out in Outrider Knight armor. This (obviously) means that they are the Outrider Knights leaving the city. There are a total of four shades we can see. Three appear to be male, one appears to be female.

"Coincidentally", there are three Outrider Knights we fight in the game, and the Dancer wears what looks to be the female Outrider Knight's gear. I think the shades we see leaving are the three Outrider Knights and the Dancer leaving the city, eventually to be turned into the monsters we know.
